Himachal Pradesh is a state in the Northern Part of India.Himachal Pradesh state was formed on 25
January 1971.It is one of the Mountains states.  Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh.  Himachal Pradesh share its borders with the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and ladakh to the North.State is divided into 12 districts.There are many religious and tourists places.Snow covered mountains are the beauty of the state. Area wise rank of Himachal Pradesh is 18.

The women wear kurta, churidar salwar and a scarf on the head.The men wear a kurta, churidar pyjamas, long coats and a woollen cap with bright coloured border.Nati is the folk dance of Himanchal Pradesh.

Fruits of Himachal Pradesh

Most of the people are either farmers or shepherds.They grow wheat, rice, maize and potatoes on terrace farms. Apple, grapes, peas and peaches are grown in the orchards.Besides farming, people are engaged in craft works like making wooden trays, walking sticks and other articles.
